The Journey of a Toddler

Toddlers are busy little people learning about the world around them. We spend time developing close bonds with our toddlers as we guide them in learning to share their world with others.

We allow opportunity to explore, discover, problem solve and experiment in a safe setting with familiar educators. This is a time where we help your child navigate around obstacles, become more independant and develop social, communicative skills.

“Help me do it for myself” – Maria Montessori

During this time a toddler’s development increases hugely and they begin to obtain a stong understanding of works, naming of objects and to follow some simple instructions. That is why this stage in life is such an important one. Toddlers seek security, stablity and support each and every day. Which is why our educators are all extremely passionate and loving towards children and their wellbeing.

Brighter Begining

We aim to nurture resilience in all children, starting with appreciation and the development of manners and respect for the environment and belongings.

We are busy little people learning about the world around us. We encourage our toddlers to build bonds with us so that we can then guide them in their individual obstacle course of learning to share the world with others and explore it in great detail so they may learn and grow. This is a time where we help your child become more independent and develop exceptional social skills.

During their time their language development ncreases immensely, and they begin to obtain a strong understanding of words, names of objects and they begin to follow simple instructions.

This is such an important stage in children’s development, this is when they most need security, stability and the support of caring Educators to reach these milestones. Each child is an individual and we program activities and events for each child based on their own needs, interests and abilities. Age appropriate activities such as eating independently, painting, shape sorting, and blocks are planned for the children.

We work with families to develop social skills, separating well from parents, playing with and alongside peers. We explore arts and crafts, puzzles, shape sorters, sensory experiences, music and movement and above all we have fun together learning through play.

Our Educators encourage and guide them on their adventure of learning about turn taking, sharing and toilet training! The children are encouraged to explore their world As the children are getting older they are developing their friendships, playing and interacting with the other children and are encouraged to use their decision-making skills with their ever-expanding communication skills.
